The last lesson gave us a definition of wealth. This lesson gives us the language to actually see it: assets, liabilities, equity, and net worth.

In the last lesson, we kept returning to the same idea: what someone owns matters, but what they still owe matters too. A $1 million house does not tell you much by itself. Neither does a large investment account, a private business stake, or an expensive car. To understand the financial position underneath those things, we need a simple framework.

That framework begins with assets.
